US Beer Sales Spike on Coronavirus Quarantine

The Numbers Tell the Story:

Alcohol sales have spiked across the United States following the nationwide quarantine to stem the spread of the Coronavirus.  According to Nielsen, beer sales increased 42% in the last week of March as the nationwide shutdown took place.

Based on recent earnings reports, most brewing conglomerates have seen sales growth year over year in excess of 10% across the board. With everyone inside, it makes sense that people would indulge more in liquid gold. The question is, are they drinking out of the can or out of a nice new glass? Maybe a funny beer glass?
